AENOR AWARDS THE FIRST ISO 28000 SECURITY CERTIFICATE TO DHL EXPRESS
AENOR AWARDS THE FIRST ISO 28000 SECURITY CERTIFICATE TO DHL EXPRESS
DHL Express Iberia is the first company to receive from AENOR the ISO 28000 Certificate on Security for the Supply Chain, and one of the first to achieve it in Europe.
The methodology followed by ISO 28000 Specification for security management systems for the supply chain is based on the continual improvement cycle and follows a risk assessment oriented approach. This assessment consists of an analysis of the objectives established for the security management of the supply chain as well as the programmes in place for their attainment.
In addition, DHL Express has renewed its Integrated Quality and Environmental Certification (to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, respectively), showing the consistent commitment of the company to quality service and their increasing concern for the preservation of the environment.
The Director General of AENOR, Ramón Naz, awarded both certificates to the Director General of DHL Express Iberia, Felipe Corcuera, in a ceremony held at the facilities of the logistics company.
Thus DHL Express has become the first company in the sector to have an Integrated Quality, Environmental and Security System in conformity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 28000 certified by AENOR.
